Cloud strategy & consulting

Decide which workloads belong in which environment, and establish the architecture, controls and cost ownership needed to run them.

Design the cloud operating model first.

We assess workloads, dependencies, security requirements and commercial constraints before defining the target architecture. The engagement covers cloud readiness, platform selection, landing zones, identity, recovery requirements and cost ownership. AWS, Azure and Google Cloud are evaluated against the brief, including hybrid requirements.

Start with a workload inventory and the business requirements for recovery, access and performance. We use those constraints to compare platform options and define the landing-zone decisions that migration teams will need.

Illustrative efficiency example

Preparing workload assessments

A consistent discovery and architecture decision template reduces repeated analysis.

Assume 20 instances per month, with average time reduced from 120 to 80 minutes per instance.

33.3%

Less time per instance

13.3 hours

Monthly capacity released

120 → 80 min

Assumed time before and after

Measure: Human handling time, including validation and exceptions; validate quality and total operating costs.

Calculation: (120 − 80) ÷ 120 × 100 = 33.3%; 20 × (120 − 80) ÷ 60 = 13.3 hours. Figures rounded where needed.

Illustrative assumptions, not a client result, forecast or guarantee. Validate the baseline and outcome in your own environment. Capacity released does not equal cash savings; account for quality, utilisation, implementation, software and ongoing support costs.

Questions, answered

A clearer starting point.

Can the strategy include hybrid infrastructure?

Yes. Workloads can remain on existing infrastructure where latency, dependencies or commercial considerations support that choice. The architecture should account for connectivity, identity and operational responsibility across environments.
